About the accommodation
A private room with space to slow down
You have your own bedroom with private access, so you can come and go as you please, as well as your own dedicated shower room. We provide some toiletries because it is easy to forget the little things.
Barhill Forest is just beyond our gated access and is ideal for a quiet walk. Look out for the birds and other wildlife, including the red squirrel. The area also makes a convenient base for the 7stanes mountain-bike trails.

Welcome to our home
We are James, Emma and Brodie, our brown Sprocker. We love the outdoors, scenic beaches and beautiful walks in this part of the country and beyond.
Some of our favourite places are included in the local guide. If you need anything or have a question during your stay, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.

Wi-Fi
High-speed internet is available. You will find the password on arrival.
TV and Netflix
The TV has the usual channels and you can log in to Netflix. We will log you out after check-out.
Room amenities
Tea and coffee making facilities, a microwave, patio doors, drawers, a bedside lamp, a wet-boot tray and a fold-up desk are available. Please ask in advance if you need anything else.
Kitchen access
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen. Please leave it as you found it.
Accessibility
The accommodation is not wheelchair accessible and there are no ramps. A shower chair is available on request.
Bikes and outdoor kit
Mountain bikes can be stored securely in an outbuilding. A hose is available if you need to wash them.
Heating
The heating runs on a timer. If you are chilly, please let us know and we can adjust it for you.
Laundry
A washing machine and tumble dryer are available. Please ask if you need to use them.
Rubbish and recycling
There is a small bin in the room. Use the black bin for general waste, the blue bin for paper and cardboard, and the red bin for tins and plastic. Glass goes in the general-waste bin.
A comfortable home for everyone
House rules
- No open flames indoors.
- Please keep noise to a minimum between 11 pm and 7 am.
- Smoking, parties and events are not permitted indoors.
- A maximum of two guests may stay at a time.
- The accommodation is not suitable for children.
- Please take good care of your room key. Loss or damage will incur a replacement fee.
- Up to two small dogs are welcome.

- Leave the kitchen as you found it and load used dishes into the dishwasher.
- Leave towels on the bathroom floor.
- Put rubbish in the bins outside.
- Turn off the lights and appliances.
- Check the drawers and bedside tables for belongings.
- Unplug chargers and collect jackets or shoes from the conservatory.
- Leave the bedroom door to the main house unlocked.
- Leave the keys beside the tea and coffee station.
